For those keeping score, yes, I missed posting yesterday. :O Unfortunately I’ve been busy with other things the last couple of days. However, I did find a little time to move forward…
As I mentioned last time, I need to finish planning the lower half of the harness. So That’s exactly what I did! Good thing I waited on that waist strap, it’s going bye-bye.
Instead i’m going to pull a strap from the back down to a ring below the waist. This is going to work better for the design I have in mind, and is a little more true to life. After setting that, I went ahead and finished up all the other straps I hadn’t extruded.
Taking a step back to look at it all, it’s really starting to shape up. Of course there’s still a lot to do yet. You may be thinking, “why not go head and mirror those straps now?” Well, the reason not to is, we still have a lot of work on the ends around the rings. I’d rather mirror after all of that, as that work will get mirrored too. What can I say, I’m lazy like that. 😉
I also at some point want to export what I have done so far to SL, and both check for visual problems, and check polygon count. That will give me an idea if I need to scale some things back, or if I’m doing ok, complexity wise.
More on that tomorrow…
