I’ve shown a few some of my work in progress on the straitjacket, but I figured It’s time to show a little to all in general. I want to make it clear again, that this is very much a work in progress and there’s still a lot to do. So keep that in mind.
You can see above the general front and back views. The Green areas outline the general cut of the ‘bolero’ style, while with the orange included, the general traditionally covered look. I’ve only recently started on the arm, with one seam on the back side, there will be another seam on the front side, and a strap that runs down from the shoulder along the outer side.
There’s still a lot of detailing and general ‘crafting’ to do once I’m happy with how the overall shape comes out. And once I’m sure the arm is complete, I’ll mirror it over to the other side.
The sharp-eyed may see one detail I have added, the zipper in the back. Unlike the Gauntlet, I’m not using a texture, but rather modeling the zipper out completely. Here’s a bit of a closeup:
There’s still a lot to do and things may change, but I hope you can get a general idea how things are starting to take shape. If you have questions, comments, suggestions, feel free to comment. I’d love to hear your thoughts. 🙂 Until next time…
