Hi there, Time for another short update.
A lot of what I’ve been doing is tweaking the outer shell to get a great body shape and to ensure that both the covered and uncovered modes look *great*. It’s hard to show that without a per-vertice comparison to the old/new so you’ll just have to take my word for it. It’s important to get things right before you start adding details.
I also did all of what I call the ‘insides’, basically parts that sink into the body where the SL avatar and the mesh meet. For example:
This shows the insides area at the waist. Some creators take that all the way in to the very center, however, doing so can cause a lot of stretching to the texture. I will likely make adjustments to ensure small body sizes don’t expose this area, but I don’t expect to go much farther.
I then uploaded what I had into SL to get a visual check where it matters most 🙂 There were some issues discovered and after some corrections I was fairly happy with what I saw. But I did end up re-sculpting some areas to get a better fit.
Now that’s I’m pretty satisfied with the shaping and fit, it’s time to get down to the details. And I’m already off to a good start on that. I’m starting with the arms and working my way across. I have some strappy action going on there as you can see:
