I’m happy to say as of Friday I finally finished the initial scripting and graphics for the Aspect HUD. 😀
The job was quite a bit more complex than I had originally expected. The SJ has a lot of appearance modes, and getting them all to play nice and act as expected for my lovely customers took a lot of finesse. But In the end it will ‘just work’ for you and you’ll never be the wiser. 🙂 A few preview shots:
As you can see there’s a lot of zones. And the front illustration will now update to show exactly what zone is being worked on at any given time. (it even swivels to the back for a better view).
As well, I’ve added a new texture picking system:
Plenty of space for all of the latex colors to come later. 🙂
So what comes next? Well, I’ve started on the real meat of the scripting, the functional system inside the straitjacket itself. There’s a lot I can carry over from the Harness, but a lot to add. And it’s become clear 1 script won’t hold it all. SO… the first order of business is to split the existing script into two. I’m about 90% done with that job already. I had to find a good place to split, that didn’t impact the existing functions too much and didn’t require sharing too many variables. I think I found a very good place to cut. 🙂
A good ending and a good start, all in one week. Doesn’t get better than that. 🙂
Until next time…
